How do I hear how a German word is pronounced?
Reading a German word is not always enough. Learners often need to hear pronunciation, word forms, or sentences to connect spelling and sound.
Suggested workflow
- Open a word list entry or a word detail page.
- Look for the small sound icon next to the word or form.
- Tap the icon to play the available audio.
- Use example sentence audio where it is shown.

Speech output can be configured in Settings under Speech. Some audio options may depend on the app version, internet access, or Pro features.
