How do I search example sentences from a translation language?

Sometimes a learner remembers a sentence meaning in another language and wants to find German examples that match it.

Where to start

• Open Examples.
• Tap the language selector next to the search field.
• Choose the first or second translation language as the search language.
• Enter the word or phrase in that language.
• Review the matching German sentences and translations.

Good to know

Search language and translation display language are related but not identical. The selected search language decides how the search text is interpreted.
