How do I use two translation languages while learning German?
Bilingual or multilingual learners often want to compare German with more than one language. This is useful when one translation feels natural but another language gives extra context.
Where to start
- Open the language selector from a search bar, or open Settings and then Languages.
- Set the first translation language.
- Set the optional second translation language if you want another translation line.
- Return to Browse, Examples, or a word detail view to see the selected languages where available.
Good to know
- You can swap the first and second translation language from the language menu when a second language is defined.
- The second language can also be useful when you search from a translation language instead of German.
