How do I reverse translate a result?

Reverse translation is useful when a translation looks plausible but you want to check whether it leads back to the meaning you intended.

Where to start

• Open Translator and translate your text.
• Tap the lookup icon on one of the translation chips.
• Choose Translate from the chip menu.
• Review the reverse translation and explanation.

Good to know

Reverse translation is not a proof that a translation is perfect, but it can reveal when a word is too broad, too narrow, or contextually different.
