How do I use the app when I am reading German text outside the app?
Learners often meet new German words in websites, messages, PDFs, or other apps. Copying, switching apps, and pasting interrupts reading.
Solution in the app
- Select the text in the other app.
- Open the system Share menu.
- Choose this German learning app from the share sheet.
- The app opens in Browse mode with the shared text.
- From there, use the lookup menu to continue to Translator, Examples, Chat, or web lookup.
Good to know
This workflow is for text shared from another app. It is different from the app’s own Share action, which sends selected app text outward to other apps.
